Low Water Pressure: What Should You Check First?
2/17/2026
Before calling a plumber, work out whether one tap, one room or the whole house is affected.
Before calling a plumber, check whether the issue is affecting one tap, one room, or the whole house. If only one tap is affected, the problem may be a blocked aerator, faulty tap, flexible hose or isolation valve.
If the whole house is affected, check your stop tap is fully open and ask neighbours whether they are experiencing the same issue.
